We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope everyone else did too. It was joy to watch the kids open their presents, play with them and then fight over them! Siblings! And it was joy for Bailey to remind us a couple of times that we are celebrating Jesus' birthday. I hope she never loses sight of the real celebration of this day. I hope we never lose sight of God's love for us.

Santa Claus

Yesterday we went to see Santa Claus. A friend of mine suggested we go to Bass Pro Shop because there you can get your picture made free with Santa. It was an ordeal to get there and then we had a little wait but we finally got our picture made! Bailey couldn't wait to see him and ran right up to him. When Jesse got closer he started crying and said he didn't want to go. So I said ok. But Santa gave him some candy which lured Jesse in. Santa started sticking candy in his pockets and so when Jesse turned around so Santa could put some in his back pocket, Santa looked up and they snapped the picture! Sneaky Santa!

2 months old

Jack was two months old yesterday. He is getting to be so fun. He smiles at us all the time! He has even laughed out loud a couple of times! He weighs 11 lbs. 6 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. He's becoming a big boy! Bailey continues to dote on him all the time! And Jesse is either telling us that Jack "pooped A LOT!" or "Jack's crying!" Both are trying to be so helpful!

First Black Eye

Jesse has a black eye. Not sure how he got it but we're sure it won't be his last! He is definitely all boy - jumping off every piece of furniture in the house! But Bailey is always right there with him!

Is Santa ripping me off?

I have been at the mall (two different malls) a couple of times with the kids and I thought I might get their pictured made with Santa but no. Not because the kids were scared but because I think Santa is trying to rip me off! At one mall it cost $17.95 (for only 2 pictures) to have your picture made and at another mall it cost $22.95! And those were the cheap prices! I could spend as much as $50! What?! I mean come on. Really? I know it's been a long time since I went to see Santa Claus but I couldn't believe the prices. Is it just me or is this a little bit ridiculous? Is it just because we live in a big city? Are other places just as expensive? I don't mind spending money, ask anybody, I am not a cheapskate but this just seems a bit much. I mean he better be the REAL Santa Claus at those prices!

Christmas

The kids looked so cute yesterday dressed up in their Christmas clothes. Jesse and Jack had matching hats which I didn't get a picture. They looked like little men. Really cute!
